MOORHEAD, Minn., January 26, 2016- Concordia College Theatre presents Perfect
Arrangement by Topher Payne. A new play, Perfect Arrangement takes place in Washington,
D.C. during the 1950s and tells the story of two married couples leading secret lives.
In 1950, the Lavender and Red Scares led to the firing of perceived Communist and LGBTQ
members from their government jobs. Bob and Norma, two U.S. State Department
employees, are being tasked with outing “sexual deviants” within their ranks. Ironically,
both Bob and Norma are gay and have married each other’s partners as a cover up.
Actor Caleb Christensen plays the role of Ted Sunderson and says that Perfect Arrangement
“provides a very honest exploration of a key time in LGBTQ history.”
Perfect Arrangement will be performed on the Mainstage of the Frances Frazier Comstock
Theatre February 11th-13th at 8:00 pm and February 14th at 2:00 pm. The Box Office is
open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 1:00-5:00 pm starting this Tuesday,
January 26th.
Tickets are free for Concordia students, faculty, and staff, and tickets. General admission is
$10 for adults and $5 for seniors and students. Questions about ticketing can be emailed to
