Brought by the North Dakota Museum of Art. The North Dakota Museum of Art is holding a live Art Auction in Bismarck on June 9 at Sixteen03 Main Events. The public is invited to bid on forty-five works of contemporary art by artists from across North Dakota and neighboring states. Selected by NDMOA Director, Laurel Reuter, the range will include paintings, prints, sculpture, works on paper, and craft media. The Museum held its first silent auction in 1990 and live auction in 1999, the first live art auction in North Dakota. The Museum's goal was to build a buying audience for artists from the region at respectable rather than bargain basement prices. Wildly successful in its goal, the Museum sees dozens of art sales unfold in the northeast corner of the State.
