The Northwest Arts Center presents ‘FACULTY X,’ on view March 5 to April 2 in the Walter Piehl Gallery. The exhibition features new work by Minot State University Art Department Faculty Micah Bloom, Andrea Donovan, Bill Harbort, Linda Olson, Ryan Stander and Greg Vettel.

A opening reception with the artists is scheduled Thursday, March 5 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Both exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.

Northwest Art Center: Americas Paperworks 2020

The Northwest Arts Center opens the spring semester at Minot State with the “Americas 2020: Paperworks” annual juried exhibition. From the first call for entries in 1969, the Paperworks competition has brought diverse artwork “on or of paper, traditional and experimental,” to the University campus and greater Minot community. This year’s exhibition features 54 artworks from artists in the United States, Canada and Malaysia.

Minot State University's Northwest Arts Center Presents Art from "Her Voice Resounds"

The Northwest Arts Center presents Art from ‘Her Voice Resounds,’ an interdisciplinary celebration of the Centenary of Women’s Suffrage, with submissions from 20 North Dakota women artists.On Saturday, Nov. 9, the Minot State University Concert Choir will commemorate the Centenary of Women’s Suffrage during their fall concert beginning at 7:30 p.m. in Ann Nicole Nelson Hall.

The Northwest Arts Center presents ‘Handshake,’ an exhibition by artist and painter Mollie Douthit. Working primarily wet on wet, Douthit’s paintings are meditations on personal situations that contain people and objects meaningful to her. Drawing inspiration from Van Gogh’s signature sign off, these “handshakes” allow her to better see, understand and transcribe her life.
