The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. It is the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization, committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow servicemembers and veterans.

AMVETS MISSION STATEMENT: To enhance and safeguard the entitlements for all American Veterans who have served honorably and to improve the quality of life for them, their families, and the communities where they live through leadership, advocacy and services.
Our mission is to provide Student Veterans attending North Dakota State University with the support and advocacy needed to successfully transition to college, excel academically, and gain post-graduation employment.

DAV is dedicated to a single purpose: empowering veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity. We accomplish this by ensuring that veterans and their families can access the full range of benefits available to them; fighting for the interests of America’s injured heroes on Capitol Hill; and educating the public about the great sacrifices and needs of veterans transitioning back to civilian life.
Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA) is the first and largest nonprofit, nonpartisan organization for new veterans, with nearly 300,000 Member Veterans and supporters nationwide. IAVA is a 21st century veterans’ organization dedicated to standing with the 2.5 million veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan from their first day home through the rest of their lives. Founded in 2004 by an Iraq veteran, our mission is to improve the lives of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans and their families.

The North Dakota Military Outreach Program is a state program designed to assist Military Veterans, Past and Present Service Members, and their Families in finding resources, services, and benefits to meet their needs. Military Outreach Specialists are regionally located throughout North Dakota. They connect you with information and resources in the areas of: Federal and State Veteran Benefits, Military Records, Mental Health/ PTSD, Retirement, Financial, Employment, and Homelessness.
The Military Officers Association of America, Roughriders Chapter is an affiliate of the national Military Officers Association of America. The mission of the chapter is to promote the aims of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA). We advocate for national, state, and local legislative actions that protect the rights and interests of uniformed servicemembers, veterans, dependents, and survivors of the same. We encourage and facilitate camaraderie among our membership.
Our mission is to foster and improve the National Guard by promoting and encouraging friendly and social relations among all members of the National Guard, and to promote and advance the status, welfare, and professionalism of Enlisted Members.
