Honor Flight
Honor Flight was initially conceived in 2004 by Earl Morse, a physician assistant and retired Air Force Captain, as a way to honor veterans he provided care to over the past 27 years. The sole purpose was to fly veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorial dedicated to honor their sacrifices.
Roughrider Honor Flight
Roughrider Honor Flight was organized in September, 2008 and will depart on May 8th for Washington, DC. With more than 250 applicants, the volunteers anticipate a second, and possibly a third flight.
Roughrider Honor Flight is a volunteer organization, supported entirely by the donations of time and talents from members of our community. These are people like you, who want to help in whatever way they can. If you would like to help, e-mail us at rrhonorflight@hotmail.com or call us at (701)373-5416 and let us know how you would like to help make this dream a reality.
Northern Valley Honor Flight
The Northern Valley Honor Flight is a non-profit organization created solely to honor America’s World War II veterans for all their sacrifices. Our regions Veterans are flown free of charge to Washington DC to see the National World War II memorial that was built in their honor. All expenses are covered by local donations and do not cost our heroes a single cent. We do this because the National World War II memorial was only just completed in 2004 and by that time over 65% of all World War veterans had already died. Currently over 1200 World War II veterans die each day and now fewer than 15% remain. Sadly, in the next five to ten years nearly all of the World War II Veterans will be gone.
