Registered Nelson county. Born, Aneta, N. Dak., Aug. 22, 1897, of Danish-Norwegian parents. Occupation - farmer. Enlisted at Minneapolis, Minn., on July 5, 1918. Sent to Jefferson Barracks, Mo. Served in Company K, 5th Engineers Training Regiment, to July 25, 1918; Company K, 4th Engineers Training Regiment, to Aug. 22, 1918; 10th Company, August Automatic Replacement Draft, Camp Humphreys, Va., to Aug. 24, 1918; Company A, 309th Engineers, to death. Overseas from Sept. 9, 1918, to death.
