Name included on the All Veterans Memorial at State Capitol in Bismarck ND.

Served in Company B, 1st Infantry, North Dakota National Guard (Company B, 164th Infantry), to Jan. 9, 1918; Company D, 18th Infantry, to death. Grade: Private 1st Class, Dec. 10, 1917. Overseas from Dec. 15, 1917, to death. Engagements: Defensive: Montdidier-Noyon. Offensive: Aisne-Marne. Defensive Sectors: Ansauville (Lorraine); Cantigny (Picardy).
