Biography:

Registered Emmons county. Born, Bloomingdale, Ind., April 7, 1893, of American parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Linton on May 25, 1918. Sent to Camp Lewis, Wash. Served in 17th Company, 5th Training Battalion, 166th Depot Brigade, to June 20, 1918; Battery E, 347th Field Artillery, to June 28, 1918; Casual Detachment, 91st Division, Camp Lewis, Wash., to July 11, 1918; Depot Company C, Camp Merritt, N. J., to Aug. 1, 1918; Battery C, 316th Field Artillery, to death. Overseas from Aug. 5, 1918, to death.
