Registered Ward county. Born, Lisbon, N. Dak., March 14, 1896, of (nationality of parents not given). Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Minot on March 29, 1918. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in Company D, 1st Battalion, 163rd Depot Brigade, to April 20, 1918; Company E, 139th Infantry, to death. Overseas from May 3, 1918, to Sept. 26, 1918. Engagements: Offensive: Meuse-Argonne. Defensive Sectors: Gerardmer (Alsace); Grange-le-Comte (Lorraine).
