Registered Cavalier county. Born, Vnag, N. Dak., April 12, 1893, of Norwegian parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Langdon on July 23, 1918. Sent to Camp Custer, Mich. Served in 13th Company, 4th Battalion, 160th Depot Brigade, to Aug. 15, 1918; Machine Gun Company, 78th Infantry, to Aug. 23, 1918; Company C, 78th Infantry, to death.
