Registered Mercer county. Born, Troy, S. Dak., Nov. 15, 1896, of American parents. Occupation - laborer. Inducted at Stanton on May 25, 1918. Sent to Camp Lewis, Wash. Served in 14th Company, 4th Battalion, 166th Depot Brigade, to June 16, 1918; Company A, 158th Infantry, to Sept. 11, 1918; Company D, 128th Infantry, to death. Overseas from Aug. 11, 1918, to death. Engagement: Offensive: Meuse-Argonne.
