Registered Barnes county. Born, Valley City, N. Dak., Dec. 6, 1892, of Norwegian-Swedish parents. Occupation - electrician. Inducted at Valley City on March 19, 1918. Sent to Kelly Field, Texas. Served in 235th Aero Squadron, to June 20, 1918; 322nd Aero Squadron, to Sept. 4, 1918; School of Military Aeronautics, University of Illinois, to death. Grade: Private 1st Class, Aug. 29, 1918. Previous military record: Company G, North Dakota National Guard, for three years.
