Biography:

Registered Mercer county. Born, Jamestown, N. Dak., Nov. 28, 1889, of American parents. Occupation - merchant. Inducted at Stanton on March 29, 1918. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in Company B, 1st Battalion, 163rd Depot Brigade, to April 20, 1918; Company C, 139th Infantry, to death. Grade: Corporal, Aug. 4, 1918. Overseas from May 3, 1918, to death. Engagements: Offensive: Meuse-Argonne. Defensive Sectors: Grange-le-Comte (Lorraine); Gerardmer (Alsace).
