Registered Steele county. Born, Hatton, N. Dak., March 8, 1890, of Norwegian parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Sherbrooke on April 29, 1918. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in 163rd Depot Brigade, to (date not given); Company F, 313th Engineers, to May 15, 1918; Company M, 357th Infantry, to death. Overseas from June 20, 1918, to death. Engagements: Offensive: St. Mihiel. Defensive Sector: Villers-en-Haye (Lorraine).
