Biography:

Registered Richland county. Born, Colfax, N. Dak., Jan. 4, 1895, of Norwegian parents. Occupation - clerk. Inducted at Wahpeton on April 28, 1918. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in 163rd Depot Brigade, to April 29, 1918; Company L, 350th Infantry, to May 16, 1918; 357th Infantry, to death. Overseas from June 20, 1918, to death. Engagements: Offensive: St. Mihiel. Defensive Sectors: Puvenelle and Villers-en-Haye (Lorraine).
