Registered Walsh county. Born, Morath, Sweden, Jan. 15, 1894. Declarant citizen. Occupation - carpenter. Inducted at Grafton on May 27, 1918. Sent to Camp Lewis, Wash. Served in 22nd Company, 6th Battalion, 166th Depot Brigade, to June 18, 1918; Company L, 158th Infantry, to Sept. 29, 1918; Company H, 322nd Infantry, to death. Overseas from Aug. 11, 1918, to death. Engagements: Offensive: Meuse-Argonne. Defensive Sector: St. Die (Lorraine).
