Registered Walsh county. Born, Grafton, N. Dak., Oct. 15, 1897, of Norwegian parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Grafton on May 27, 1918. Sent to Camp Lewis, Wash. Served in 22nd Company, 6th Battalion, 166th Depot Brigade, to June 18, 1918; Company L, 158th Infantry, to July 18, 1918; Machine Gun Company, 158th Infantry, to death. Overseas from Aug. 11, 1918, to death.
