Biography:

Registered Grand Forks county. Born, Mekinock, N. Dak., July 3, 1894, of Norwegian parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Grand Forks on March 30, 1918. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in Company H, 2nd Battalion, 163rd Depot Brigade, to April 20, 1918; Company H, 138th Infantry, to death. Overseas from May 3, 1918, to death. Engagement: Defensive Sector: Gerardmer (Alsace).
