Registered Nelson county. Born, Thor, Iowa, Oct. 25, 1895, of Norwegian-American parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Lakota on Sept. 21, 1917. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in Company I, 352nd Infantry, to Nov. 28, 1917; Company K, 348th Infantry, to Dec. 21, 1917; Company C, 312th Supply Train, to death.
