Registered Walsh county. Born, Minto, N. Dak., Feb. 24, 1900, of Bohemian-American parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Grand Forks on Aug. 4, 1918. Sent to Jefferson Barracks, Mo. Served in 15th Service Company, Signal Corps, to Sept. 17, 1918; Company No. 2, Fort Leavenworth September Automatic Replacement Draft, Signal Corps, to death. Overseas from Sept. 23, 1918, to death.
