Registered Garfield county, Mont. Born, Metamora, Ill., Dec. 12, 1892, of American parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Glendive, Mont., on Sept. 18, 1917. Sent to Camp Lewis, Wash. Served in Company I, 362nd Infantry, to death. Grade: Private 1st Class, Dec. 8, 1918. Overseas from July 6, 1918, to death. Engagements: Offensive: Meuse-Argonne. Defensive Sector: Aubreville (Lorraine).
