Registered Stutsman county. Born, Jamestown, N. Dak., Jan. 12, 1890, of German parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Jamestown on Sept. 26, 1918. Sent to Camp Custer, Mich. Served in 15th Company, 4th Battalion, 160th Depot Brigade, to Oct. 1, 1918; 22nd Company, 6th Battalion, 160th Depot Brigade, to death.
