Registered McLean county. Born, Freeman, S. Dak., June 7, 1891, of German parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Washburn on June 26, 1918. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in 163rd Depot Brigade, to July 11, 1918; Company D, 313th Ammunition Train, to Aug. 9, 1918; Company E, 313th Ammunition Train, to death. Overseas from Aug. 17, 1918, to death.
