Registered McLean county. Born, Elgin, Ill., Nov. 25, 1890, of (nationality of parents not given). Occupation - banker. Inducted at Washburn on March 30, 1918. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in Company P, 4th Battalion, 163rd Depot Brigade, to April 20, 1918; Company L, 138th Infantry, to death. Overseas from May 3, 1918, to death. Wounded, severely, July 11, 1918. Engagements: Offensive: Meuse-Argonne. Defensive Sectors: Gerardmer (Alsace); Grange-le-Comte (Lorraine).
