Biography:

Not a registrant, enlisted prior. Born, New Holstein, Wis., March 31, 1900, of American parents. Occupation - student. Enlisted in Company C, 1st Infantry, North Dakota National Guard, at Grafton, on April 27, 1917. Called into federal service, World War, on July 15, 1917. Served in Company C, 1st Infantry, North Dakota National Guard (Company C, 164th Infantry), to discharge. Discharged at Fort Ontario, N. Y., on March 18, 1918, as a Private, Surgeon's Certificate of Disability, 25%.
