Registered Ramsey county. Born, Tellemarken, Norway, Aug. 15, 1890. Naturalized citizen. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Devils Lake on June 24, 1918. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in 163rd Depot Brigade, to June 26, 1918; Company I, 352nd Infantry, to July 27, 1918; 5th Company, 163rd Depot Brigade, to Aug. 4, 1918; Company I, 352nd Infantry, to death. Overseas from Aug. 16, 1918, to death. Engagement: Defensive Sector: Center (Alsace).
