Registered Mountrail county. Born, LaCrosse, Wis., Oct. 26, 1893, of Norwegian parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Stanley on July 22, 1918. Sent to Camp Custer, Mich. Served in 10th Company, 3rd Battalion, 160th Depot Brigade, to Aug. 14, 1918; Supple Company, 77th Infantry, to death.
