Registered LaMoure county. Born, Thurby, Denmark, Oct. 11, 1889. Naturalized citizen. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at LaMoure on April 29, 1918. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in 163rd Depot Brigade, to May 16, 1918; Company D, 357th Infantry, to death. Grade: Private 1st Class, Aug. 21, 1918. Overseas from June 20, 1918, to death. Engagements: Offensive: St. Mihiel; Meuse-Argonne. Defensive Sectors: Puvenelle and Villers-en-Haye (Lorraine).
