Registered LaMoure county. Born, Luverne, Minn., April 14, 1894, of American parents. Occupation - laborer. Inducted at LaMoure on April 2, 1918. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in Company L, 3rd Battalion, 163rd Depot Brigade, to April 21, 1918; Company M, 137th Infantry, to death. Overseas from May 3, 1918, to death. Engagements: Offensive: Meuse-Argonne. Defensive Sector: Gerardmer (Alsace).
