Registered Walsh county. Born, Chicago, Ill., Aug. 27, 1892, of (nationality of parents not given). Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Grafton on March 30, 1918. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in Company E, 2nd Battalion, 163rd Depot Brigade, to April 20, 1918; Company A, 137th Infantry, to death. Overseas from May 3, 1918, to death. Engagements: Offensive: Meuse-Argonne. Defensive Sectors: Gerardmer (Alsace); Grange-le-Comte (Lorraine).
