Registered Walsh county. Born, Tabor, Minn., Dec. 17, 1893, of Bohemian-American parents. Occupation - merchant. Inducted at Grafton on July 22, 1918. Sent to Camp Custer, Mich. Served in Office of Mustering Officer, Camp Custer, Mich., to July 28, 1918; 42nd Company, 11th Battalion, 160th Depot Brigade, to Aug. 18, 1918; Headquarters Company, 40th Field Artillery, to death.
