Registered, Walsh county. Born, Pisek, N. Dak., Dec. 29, 1892, of Bohemian parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Grafton on Sept. 22, 1917. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in Company I, 352nd Infantry, to Nov. 28, 1917; Company I, 348th Infantry, to April 12, 1918; Company B, 58th Infantry, to death. Overseas from May 6, 1918, to death.
