Registered Steele county. Born, Hatton, N. Dak., March 26, 1895, of Norwegian parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Sherbrooke on June 24, 1918. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in 163rd Depot Brigade, to (date not given); Company G, 352nd Infantry, to July 27, 1918; Company No. 13, 4th Development Battalion, 163rd Depot Brigade, to Aug. 14, 1918; Company D, 37th Battalion, US Guards, The Presidio, San Francisco, Calif., to death.
