Biography:

Registered Renville county. Born, Farwell, Minn., Aug. 29, 1894, of American-Swedish parents. Occupation - welldriller. Inducted at Mohall on March 29, 1918. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in Company C, 1st Battalion, 163rd Depot Brigade, to April 22, 1918; Company C, 139th Infantry, to death. Overseas from May 3, 1918, to death. Wounded, slightly, on Oct. 2, 1918. Engagements: Offensive: Meuse-Argonne. Defensive Sectors: Gerardmer (Alsace); Grange-le-Comte (Lorraine).
