Biography:

Registered McLean county. Born, Tappen, N. Dak., Feb. 1, 1896, of Danish-American parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Billings, Mont., on June 28, 1918. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in 163rd Depot Brigade, to July 26, 1918; Company E, 313th Ammunition Train, to death. Overseas from Aug. 17, 1918, to death. Engagement: Defensive Sector: Center (Alsace).
