Registered Mercer county. Born, Elbowoods, N. Dak., Jan. 23, 1894, of American parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Stanton on July 24, 1918. Sent to Camp Custer, Mich. Served in 19th Company, 5th Battalion, 160th Depot Brigade, to Aug. 16, 1918; Supply Company, 77th Infantry, to Sept. 14, 1918; Veterinary Corps, 40th Field Artillery, to death.
