Registered Emmons county. Born, Lawnhill, Iowa, Jan. 12, 1896, of American parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Linton on Sept. 21, 1917. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in Battery F, 338th Field Artillery, to death.
