Biography:

Registered Divide county. Born, Newry, Minn., Feb. 27, 1887, of American parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Crosby on Feb. 23, 1918. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in Company K, 351st Infantry, to April 4, 1918; Company E, 132nd Infantry, to death. Overseas from May 16, 1918, to death. Engagements: Offensives: Somme; Meuse-Argonne. Defensive Sectors: Verdun and Fromereville (Lorraine); Amiens (Picardy).
