Registered (place not given). Born, McConnelsville, Ohio, Dec. 17, 1893. Enlisted in the Marine Corps at St. Paul, Minn., on June 11, 1917. Sent to Norfolk, Va. Served in 77th Company, 6th Machine Gun Battalion, Quantico, Va., from July 29, 1917, to Dec. 1917. Arrived in France, Dec. 31, 1917, and served there to death. Engagements: Toulon Sector; Aisne Defensive; Chateau-Thierry Sector.
