Registered Adams county. Born, Primghar, Iowa, Oct. 5, 1890, of American parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Hettinger on July 23, 1918. Sent to Camp Custer, Mich. Served in 19th Company, 5th Battalion, 160th Depot Brigade, to Aug. 18, 1918; Battery D, 41st Field Artillery, to death. Grade: Private 1st Class, Nov. 8, 1918.
