Biography:

Registered Clay county, Minn. Born, Moorhead, Minn., Oct. 3, 1891, of Norwegian parents. Occupation - decorator. Inducted at Moorhead, Minn., on June 27, 1918. Sent to Camp Grant, Ill. Served in 13th Company, 161st Depot Brigade, to July 9, 1918; Company D, 344th Infantry to Oct. 6, 1918; Company L, 148th Infantry, to death. Overseas from Sept. 9, 1918, to death. Engagements: Offensive: Ypres-Lys. Defensive Sector: Pannes (Lorraine).
