Hansen Joins Office of State Tax Commissioner

Hansen Joins Office of State Tax Commissioner

BISMARCK, N.D. – Diane Hansen has recently joined the North Dakota Office of State Tax Commissioner as an auditor in the individual income tax and withholding section.

Hansen will be responsible for providing taxpayer assistance, information and correspondence; conducting audits and compliance activity; and identifying and contacting taxpayers who have not filed the necessary returns.  She most looks forward to the customer service aspect of her position and being able to assist taxpayers.  Hansen brings the North Dakota Office of State Tax Commissioner prior experience working as a financial consultant and in customer service.

Hansen is originally from Waterloo, Iowa and currently resides in Bismarck. She obtained her bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from the University of Hawaii – Honolulu, Hawaii where she played the tenor saxophone for the marching band.  She was previously a certified public accountant (CPA) in Texas and has applied for a license transfer to North Dakota.

When she isn’t spending her time traveling, Hansen enjoys swimming, gardening, listening to music, going to concerts, and learning to play the violin.  She has three grown children: two sons who are gainfully employed in athletic careers, and a daughter who just started college. She also has a gray tabby cat named Kelli.
