Tax Department Redesigns Web Site
BISMARCK --- Tax Commissioner Rick Clayburgh announced today that the
Office of State Tax Commissioner redesigned its’ Web site, www.nd.gov/tax.
The newly launched site is designed to improve its function for all
customers by providing more direct access to the Tax Department’s
features and services.
Commissioner Clayburgh said, "It’s been five years since
the last redesign. That site served us well, but it was showing its’
age. Our thinking has always been to keep the site usable and make it
easy for taxpayers, policymakers, government leaders, and anyone else
who needs information about North Dakota’s taxes to find what
they’re looking for."
The redesign gave the Tax Department an opportunity to make better use
of technology to help reduce agency spending on printing and postage.
Visitors to www.nd.gov/tax can sign up to receive electronic
notification for various tax department newsletters.
“This new newsletter feature will allow subscribers to receive
their publication as soon as it is published on our Web site rather
than wait several days for it through traditional mail delivery,”
said Clayburgh. “And, it will help the Tax Department reduce costs
associated with printing and mailing thousands of newsletters.”
The Tax Department’s Web site continues to provide useful information
such as tax forms and instructions, brochures, and statistical reports.
Clayburgh said, “The newly launched site represents the ongoing
goal for the department to continue to improve the structure, presentation
and function of the Tax Department resources and materials available
on the redesigned Web site.”
The Office of State Tax Commissioner Web site address is www.nd.gov/tax.
