Clayburgh Names Acting State Supervisor of Assessments

BISMARCK ---Tax Commissioner Rick Clayburgh announced today that Charles Krueger, State Supervisor of Assessments, is retiring effective June 30th.  Commissioner Clayburgh named Marcy Dickerson, current Utility Tax Appraiser, to serve as Acting State Supervisor of Assessments.

Charles Krueger has been with the Tax Department for over 20 years, first serving as an Appraiser from 1970 to 1974.  Krueger left the Tax Department in 1974 to work for Burleigh County and served as Burleigh County Director of Tax Equalization until 1985.  He returned to the Tax Department in 1985 as the Assistant State Supervisor and most recently served as the State Supervisor of Assessments.

“Charles’ knowledge on property tax issues has been a valuable service to taxpayers and the Tax Department,” said Clayburgh, “we wish him well in his retirement.”

Marcy Dickerson will assume Acting State Supervisor responsibilities.  In addition to assisting taxpayers and policy makers on property tax issues, she will manage and direct the Property Tax Division of the Office of State Tax Commissioner.

“Marcy Dickerson has nearly 25 years of experience working with Property Tax issues and taxpayers,” said Clayburgh.  “Her knowledge and expertise will help us continue providing excellent service to taxpayers and citizens throughout the state.”
