What are the current North Dakota motor fuel tax rates?

The North Dakota motor fuel tax rate is $.23 per gallon for motor vehicle fuel (gasoline and gasohol).

The North Dakota motor fuel tax rate is $.23 per gallon for special fuel (clear diesel, soy, kerosene, propane (LP), compressed natural gas (CNG), liquefied natural gas (LNG), and other special fuels).

The North Dakota special fuel excise tax rate is $.04 per gallon on dyed diesel, dyed biodiesel, dyed kerosene, CNG, waste oil, and soy oil or other blending components sold for uses other than in a licensed vehicle. LNG used for a purpose other than in a licensed vehicle is exempt from tax.  A 2% tax is imposed on LP for uses other than in a licensed vehicle. All special fuels sold for use as heating fuel are exempt from tax. The special fuel excise tax is not subject to refund.

Aviation gasoline and jet fuel tax rates are $.08 per gallon.
