Free File and IRS E-File
What is it	The free e-file services are available through a partnership between the state, the IRS, and the private tax software industry. A number of tax software companies offer to prepare and file tax returns free for taxpayers who meet certain criteria.	Your tax information is keyed into a computer and sent electronically to the IRS, which then sends the state portion to the North Dakota Office of State Tax Commissioner.
Who qualifies	Each company sets its’ own conditions, which are usually based on factors such as age, military status, or adjusted gross income.	IRS E-file is available to anyone to use to file their federal and state income tax returns.
