Herman Miller Systems Furniture Disposal Policy

08/10/2009 Rough Rider Industries will no longer be accepting Herman Miller furniture and refurbishing it. Please contact Surplus Property if you need to schedule pickup or delivery - 701-328-9665.

Report surplus Herman Miller pieces to Surplus Property using the State Surplus Property Disposal Form, SFN2426 (235kb pdf).

List the following pieces separately using the Herman Miller Systems Furniture Inventory Sheet Form, SFN53053 (54kb pdf) and attach it to the SFN 2426. All other Herman Miller can be listed on the SFN 2426 as "miscellaneous Herman Miller pieces".

Rough Rider Industries will pick up Herman Miller on Friday afternoons at the capitol loading dock.

There will be a couple of options for RRI picking up Herman Miller from an agency outside of Bismarck. RRI’s truck travels throughout the state each month and in most cases will be able to pick up the surplus panels directly from the agency. In some cases, however, it may be necessary for the agency to transport the panels to a NDDOT district office in one of the major cities, i.e. Valley City, Fargo, Grand Forks, Devils Lake, Minot, Williston, or Dickinson. This use of NDDOT districts should always be planned in advance by RRI, so the disposing agency must call RRI in advance for instructions. PLEASE DO NOT JUST DROP PANELS OFF AT A NDDOT DISTRICT OFFICE! Due to truck schedules and other reasons, it may be necessary to wait for a period of time for the RRI truck to pick up the surplus panels; however, the wait should never be longer than a few months.
