1099 Information

This web site has been established to provide a list of references for agencies to use regarding 1099 reporting, from how the vendors are set up, using them in vouchers, to actual reporting.  Unless otherwise specified, all instructions and information refer to 1099-MISC forms only.

OMB and Vendor Registry will continue to provide training to agencies on these subjects, but the following information is for quick reference for questions in the meantime.  The updated manual on how to run 1099-MISC processes can be found at http://www.nd.gov/spo/connectnd/manual/1099-maintenance-manual.pdf (495kb pdf; updated 06/12/09).

The information is separated into four broad sections.  Keep clicking on the links provided to drill down for more details.  Agencies need to draw their own conclusions and make decisions on their 1099 reporting.  OMB can provide references and guidelines, but the agencies are ultimately responsible for the reporting.

New Procedure for Changing W/H Classes: If the only change you are making on a line in 'Update VoucherLine Withholding' is to change the class, you must first change the drop-down box under the 'New Withhold' column to a "Y" or the changing of class will not post. (updated 06/12/2009)
