Human Resource Management Services
Human Resource Management Services (HRMS) provides assistance to state agency leaders, managers, supervisors, and employees to promote consistency in human resource management practices for the State of North Dakota. Two important resources used to guide our customers are the administrative rules and a guide to HR laws and rules. The OMB human resource policy manual (5.15Mb pdf) is also available as a model for agencies.
HRMS staff provides the following major services:
- Maintains classification and compensation plans. Numerous reports have been presented to various committees in this effort.
- Provides a variety of recruitment services to assist agencies in filling their positions: advertising job vacancies, screening applications, serving on interview panels, representing agencies at career fairs, and coordinating internship inquiries between agencies, colleges, and students.
- Provides a variety of general and agency-specific training opportunities for all state employees.
- Provides mediation services to help employees and managers resolve conflict in the workplace.
