Just wanted to give you a little information about the North Dakota Veterans Home Foundation and why it was created back in 1987.
We are a non-profit organization with a goal to build a permanent endowment from which investment income will be used for equipment, programs and activities that are in need at the Lisbon Veteran's Home to enhance the quality of life for the residents.
The Foundation is a charitable organization under section 501C (3) recognized by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service.
The Board of Directors is composed of 15 military Veterans from the five major veteran organizations in North Dakota, which includes the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), The American Legion, American Veterans (AMVETS), and the Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA).
The Board of Directors is charged to provide guidance and approval for its three main activities which are to: promote giving management and investment and the allocation of interest only to the North Dakota Veterans Home. The Board uses investment professionals to manage its funds. The Board is also responsible for the long range planning and the establishment of goals and objectives.
Please feel free to contact me for further information or questions that you might have.
